Scholastic On-Line Bookfair
Greetings!

It is that time of year again, a time I really look forward to each Fall:  the Scholastic Bookfair!  Scholastic does a wonderful job of promoting literacy for all ages and offering inexpensive ways to support those literacy habits.  Students and teachers love the fairs because of the wonderful selection, and I love them because they help earn classroom materials for our school.

Scholastic is now offering an online bookfair.  This online bookfair will begin October 31st and end November 18th.  Not only is this online bookfair a great way to shop in the comfort of your own home, but it also allows you to browse even more selections than are available in the bookfair here at school.  Look for a link to this book fair to come after Fall Break.

We will also have some fun family events and some extended hours this year.  On Wednesday, our school will be hosting some special events commemorating Veteran’s Day.  During these special events, Sky Vista families and guests are invited to enjoy the bookfair.  Additionally, that evening, from 4-7 p.m., we will host extended hours to accomodate busy families.

Please visit our bookfair homepage to check out more information about the bookfair, help your students select their wishlist books for easier shopping, and see some of this year’s most popular picks.  Click here to go directly to the bookfair homepage.  http://kdonegan.edu.glogster.com/scholastic-book-fair-2011/

As always, parents are welcome to be part of the planning, set-up, and management of the bookfair.  Send me an email if you are interested or just have any questions or comments.  Have a great day!  Kristen
